The winged “Anunaki;” ancient Sumerian deities that some believe we're actually visitors from another world who gave humans early technology, here represents the interconnectedness of people all over the world. Winged angels have appeared in religions spanning the globe ever after their earliest representation in ancient Sumer. This one is depicted in a native South American style, derived from an Ecuadorian tapestry, about as far as geographically possible from where the motif first originated. It is painted on a rare vintage Sac Himalaya Symboise Bag, which brings together Rouge H and Blue Sapphir Calf Box Leather with the iconic gold Kelly closure in Vache Naturelle. There is a secondary snap closure on the handle and a large interior zip pocket.
